SeaDek partners with NASA scientists in technology docking program

In the pursuit of further material innovation, SeaDek Marine Products, manufacturer of EVA non-skid decking products, is honored to be one of five companies receiving technical assistance from NASA scientists as part of a technology docking program organized by NASA and the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast.

The alliance seeks to join commercial technology challenges with NASA expertise and resources to provide solutions for manufacturers and technology-based companies across all industries.

Through the program, Brevard companies will have an opportunity to utilize the technological capabilities of NASA that exists in their own backyards, further stimulating the local economy and promoting the growth of manufacturing on the Space Coast.

SeaDek is embracing the chance to utilize the deep resources of America’s premier technological brain trust in Cape Canaveral. With a focus on material composition and formulation, NASA will assist SeaDek’s research and development team as they continue to push the boundaries of EVA non-skid products for the marine industry and other related applications.

The Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast is a not-for-profit partnership between the Brevard County Commission and the Space Coast business community dedicated to attracting new business and investment, and expanding existing industry throughout the Space Coast. The EDC has been an invaluable asset to SeaDek for years, aiding them as they expanded their operations from their world headquarters in Rockledge, Florida.
