Torqeedo welcomes Mike Shafar and Jim Sinnott as sales managers, in an effort to continue expanding its North American reach.
“Over the past 12 years, Torqeedo has grown from an idea in a boathouse to an international company with a presence in over 50 countries on five continents. With the groundwork we’ve laid, we continue to experience rapid growth here in North America,” said Steve Trkla, president and general manager of Torqeedo, Inc.
Shafar is responsible for managing and growing Torqeedo’s North American OEM, retail and distribution business. Prior to joining the company, he spent 14 years in national advertising sales, managed over $8 million in business and consistently exceeded sales goals.
Sinnott is tasked with strengthening and supporting the company’s dealer network. A proven leader with over 20 years of experience, he previously managed a sales force of over 150 in the wireless industry.
Torqeedo offers electric propulsion systems from 1–80 horsepower, in outboard, inboard, pod and saildrive configurations. All Torqeedo systems are built to operate at record efficiency levels. High-tech accessories, such as lithium batteries, solar charging and smartphone apps are available.
