MasterCraft’s Zane Schwenk changes role

Zane Schwenk, formerly a regional sales and marketing manager of MasterCraft, has shifted his role at the company to focus on his family business.

He has been a professional wakeboarder for the brand since 1995. Starting in 2005, Schwenk also worked as the regional sales and marketing manager for MasterCraft in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. In 2013, he launched the now global “Pass the Handle” program, an effort to get more people on the water and exposed to tow sports.

Schwenk was also a product developer for MasterCraft, helping implement designs like wakeboard boats needing rear-engine V-Drive systems and playing an instrumental role in the development of the X Star and the Gen 2 Surf System.

“While his role changes at MasterCraft, he’ll remain an important ambassador to the company,” said MasterCraft President and CEO Terry McNew in a letter to customers. “Legendary athelete, sales and product development superstar and all around guy…we can simply add gratitude yo yhe list of descriptors about Zane Schwenk. On behalf of MasterCraft, we wish him the very best in his new role.”
