Boston Whaler raises nearly $2,000 to support local nonprofit arts organization

Boston Whaler recently raised nearly $2,000 to benefit The Atlantic Center for the Arts’ (ACA) Community Programs. The money was raised during the IMAGES: A Festival of the Arts, an annual event held in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., through the raffle of a custom-designed and custom-painted piece featuring a Boston Whaler boat cruising the open seas. On Friday, representatives from Boston Whaler visited ACA Summer Art Camp and presented a check to the ACA for the full amount.

“Boston Whaler is extremely proud to support our local community,” said Nick Stickler, Boston Whaler president. “Efforts like this remind us all how rewarding it is and how crucial it is to give back to the city that has welcomed us for so many years.”

The amount of money Boston Whaler raised for the Community Programs will be able to send 20 kids on full scholarship to Summer Art Camp.

“The ACA team deeply appreciates the level of involvement Boston Whaler has had these past few years with IMAGES and our community, raising money to send kids to Summer Art Camp,” said Heather Paternoster, ACA special events coordinator.

Atlantic Center for the Arts is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3), interdisciplinary artists-in-residence community and arts education facility dedicated to promoting artistic excellence by providing talented artists an opportunity to work and collaborate with some of the world’s most distinguished contemporary artists in the fields of music composition and the visual, literary and performing arts. Community interaction is coordinated through on-site and outreach presentations, workshops and exhibitions.
