Sea Tow Fort Lauderdale under new ownership

Sea Tow Services International Inc. announced Thursday that Sea Tow Fort Lauderdale (Fla.), is under the new ownership of Capt. Vinny Focaracci.

Focaracci is a Fort Lauderdale native who grew up in nearby Pompano Beach, sailing with his parents on weekends. His first boat was a Parker 19’, and he earned his 100-ton Captain’s license at the age of 19.

Sea Tow Fort Lauderdale covers all waters within the Broward County lines, including the IntraCoastal Waterway, Atlantic Ocean and local rivers. Its boundaries are Deerfield Island to the north and Golden Isles to the south.

Sea Tow Fort Lauderdale is staffed by six U.S. Coast Guard-licensed captains and operates four yellow Sea Tow RIBS ranging in size from 21 to 33 feet.

“We are excited to have Capt. Vinny Focaracci take over the ownership  of our very important Sea Tow operation in Fort Lauderdale, which serves one of the country’s most active year-round boating hubs for vessels ranging from the smallest jon boats to the largest superyachts,” said Sea Tow CEO, Capt. Joseph Frohnhoefer III.  “We know Capt. Vinny and his team of Sea Tow Captains, marketing team and dispatchers will continue to provide the superior service and expertise that boaters are accustomed to receiving from Sea Tow.”
