MarineMax St. Petersburg set to expand and renovate

MarineMax St. Petersburg announced Wednesday that they will host a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate their extensive expansion and renovation of the marina and service yard as well as the addition of a new sales office. The event will be held on June 24, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. MarineMax recently procured the property which they were heretofore managing the marina, operating MarineMax repair and refit facility along with a MarineMax brokerage office.

“By purchasing the property, it freed us up to completely renovate the marina, add a new and used boat sales office and make major improvements to the service yard,” explained Joshua Lavine, MarineMax St. Petersburg store manager. “MarineMax St. Petersburg will soon become a one-stop-shop for everything boating.”

The marina expansion will include several brand-new slips with high-capacity boat lifts, new wet slips, new shore power, city water, wireless internet, private showers/heads and upgraded walkways. The service yard will be resurfaced and a hydraulic heavy-lift trailer will be added to increase capacity. The new sales office will be in a renovated building at the front of the property.

“When complete, MarineMax St. Petersburg will be the premiere boating facility in Pinellas County,” said Lavine. “Come join us for a sneak peek of the facility plans, delicious food and refreshing beverages.”

Located at 6810 Gulfport Boulevard South, Pasadena, FL, MarineMax St. Petersburg is currently offering new boats from Sea Ray, Boston Whaler, Azimut, Ocean Alexander, Hatteras, Nautique, Sailfish and Sea Pro. The expansion is planned to be complete by early 2017.
