MarineMax’s Paulee Day elected to Florida Chamber of Commerce board

Paulee Coughlin Day, the executive vice president, chief legal officer and assistant secretary of MarineMax, Inc., has been elected to the board of directors of the Florida Chamber of Commerce.

“It is a tremendous honor to be a member of the board of directors of the Florida Chamber of Commerce,” Day said. “I believe strongly in the Florida chamber’s mission of uniting Florida’s business community and making Florida more competitive.  And I look forward to the opportunity of promoting those initiatives as a member of the board of directors and through my work at MarineMax.”

Day has been with MarineMax since January 2003.  Prior to joining MarineMax, Day was vice president, general counsel and secretary at Maxxim Medical, Inc. from May 1999 to November 2002.  Day was corporate attorney at Eckerd Corporation from June 1997 through May 1999 and a corporate attorney at the law firm of Trenam, Kemker, Scharf, Barkin, Frye, O’Neill and Mullis, P.A. from January 1995 through June 1997.

Day is a Florida attorney licensed to practice law for the past twenty years and a magna cum laude graduate of Vanderbilt University where she attained both her bachelor and master’s degrees in business administration and was elected to both the Phi Beta Kappa Honorary Society and Beta Gamma Sigma Honorary Society.  Day is a magna cum laude graduate of the Indiana University School of Law where she was an editor and published author on the International and Comparative Law Review. Day is a member of the Florida Bar, the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Florida Yacht Brokers Association.
