Yamaha launches final installment of service management series

Yamaha Marine Group announced Tuesday the launch of the third and final installment in its new Service Management Workshop Online Training Series.

The newest module of the series, Service Management Workshop: Measuring Service Profitability & Performance, is available now through Yamaha Marine University online. The first two installments of the series launched earlier this spring and are also available through YMU Online.

This third module focuses on specific measurements that can be used to gauge the profitability and efficiency of marine service departments, including technician productivity, service absorption, effective labor rate, leaks of profitability and more. Each module in the online training series includes a self-assessment guide that will help dealers apply the lessons of the training within their own stores. The final module’s self-assessment guide aims to help dealers apply specific measurements in order to identify new methods of increasing profitability and productivity.

“We are very excited about the entire Service Management Workshop online training series, and hope our dealers will find the lessons in the series both helpful and easy to implement within the context of their own stores,” said Martin Peters, manager, marine dealer education. “We highly recommend the final module in the series, and believe the specific measurements highlighted in the training will help dealers find new ways to boost their profitability and productivity.”
