Colin Kiley named president of Nautical Structures

Robert E. Bolline announced that Colin Kiley has come aboard as president and an equity partner of Nautical Structures (NS). Kiley comes from Rybovich Boat Company where he was charged with business development and was director of supply chain management. Bolline will continue with the company as CEO and partner Rick Thomas will continue as vice president of sales.

Kiley brings more than 30 years of experience providing high-end engineered solutions for megayachts and high-performance vessels around the globe. His background includes ownership or leadership roles with Rigging Systems International, OYS Service, Global BSI Rigging and Service, and Rybovich Boat Company.

“Over the years, I’ve been part of many build or project teams,” Kiley said. “I thrive on meeting the challenges of working on complex projects and bringing together the skills and talents of different companies, cultures and personalities. That’s what building a winning team takes. NS boasts an amazing group of talented, loyal professionals. Many have worked for the company for more than 20 years. I look forward to taking the helm of this company, building on the solid foundation that Bob’s established over the past 30 years, and moving the company aggressively into its next 30 years.”

“We’re delighted that Colin is joining the Nautical Structures team,” said Bolline. “His skill set and in-the-trenches business experience are exactly what we need, not to mention Colin’s contagious enthusiasm for the business. We share the same vision for exceptional quality and customer service, steady growth and expansion, as well as further development of our existing business lines and technologies.”

Kiley sites growth opportunities for NS with U.S. mid-range production boat builders. “Even more so is our opportunity to penetrate the European market new-build sector with innovative products and advanced engineering for custom solutions,” he said. “But our biggest opportunity lies in the service and refit markets. My vision is to bring our market knowledge and extensive product list to bear on these growth opportunities, including building and expanding our scheduled maintenance and service programs worldwide.

“We’re already experiencing dramatic growth across several key markets,” Kiley continued. “So much so, that we’ve begun an aggressive hiring campaign to recruit welding, machining, fabrication, assembly and service technician professionals.”
