Yamaha Marine Group names new VP

Yamaha Marine Group Tuesday announced the promotion of Bill Boehman to vice president of the Yamaha Marine Group, operations and manufacturing.

In addition to his new role, Boehman will continue to serve as vice president of Precision Propeller Industries, Inc. (PPI), and will take on the additional title of vice president, Skeeter Products, Inc. He will begin his new position in Kennesaw, Ga., this March.

The foundry industry average remains at 7 percent.

“The leadership, industry knowledge, and vision Bill will bring to the Marine Group in his new role are valuable assets,” said Ben Speciale, President, Yamaha Marine Group. “The efficiency and production outcomes that resulted from his leadership at PPI are nothing short of remarkable, and we are excited to have him join the team here in our corporate headquarters.”

Boehman’s experience in manufacturing has included roles as plant controller, materials manager and Six Sigma Black Belt. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from University of Kentucky and a master’s degree in manufacturing management from Southern Methodist University.
