Navico and Naviop announce strategic partnership

EGERSUND, Norway – Navico, manufacturer of marine electronics and parent company to the Lowrance, Simrad, B&G and GoFree brands, and Naviop, manufacturer of monitoring and control systems for yachts and luxury megayachts, announced today a new strategic partnership. Combining expertise to develop state-of-the-art solutions for displaying and managing sophisticated yacht systems, the companies will work closely to expand their product range to cover the high demands of broader production and volume boat builders.

Enabling monitoring and control of key equipment, Naviop allows captains, boat owners and manufacturers to develop an easy-to-use, fully customized, touch-screen user interface. Accessible directly from the home screen of any Simrad glass bridge display, the system facilitates management of engines, generators, batteries, trim tabs and flaps, lighting, air conditioning, entertainment, security systems, bilge pumps, and other vital onboard services.

“Naviop has a great deal of experience in developing integrated systems for a wide range of applications,” said Marc Jourlait, deputy CEO, Navico. “When combined with the powerful processing technology we have in our Simrad glass helm range, we can both easily meet the sophisticated demands of today’s yachts and megayachts. I’m certain that in the future we will see the same demand for these types of versatile systems on boats of all types and sizes across our markets.”

“We are very proud to partner with Navico, one of the leading manufactures in marine electronics,” said Luigi Leoni, president, Naviop. “Our expertise and knowledge really complements Navico’s technology and state-of-the-art marine solutions. Together our new systems will revolutionize the way the whole vessel can be fully automated and interconnected from a single display.”
