Boston Whaler’s 250 Outrage premieres in Miami

EDGEWATER, Fla. – The Boston Whaler introduced the 250 Outrage at the Miami International Boat Show, alongside recent additions including the new 330 Outrage and 280 Outrage, both appearing in Miami for the first time.

“Each year, the Miami Boat Show draws passionate boaters from around the world. There’s no better venue in which to show off our newest Outrage, the 250, flanked by several of our most popular models from the Outrage fleet,” said Boston Whaler President Huw Bower. “The 250 brilliantly demonstrates Boston Whaler’s commitment to Core Confidence, delivering an incredibly soft, safe, dry ride and an intuitive user experience.”

The 250 Outrage is a center console fishing boat that is also designed to facilitate long, leisurely days on the water with family and friends. It features a layout with a full 360 degrees of walkaround, as well as high gunnels and handrails for added security. The boat was built with Boston Whaler’s deep-V hull, featuring full-length lifting strakes and a flair in the bow.

Seating includes a forward two-person lounge with armrests and additional opposing seating in the bow, which has been redesigned to provide elbowroom. At the helm, an optional deluxe seat upgrade features an adjustable captain’s chair and stationary companion seat. Aft, a convertible bench offers more seating and folds cleanly away for additional fishing space. The 250 Outrage also comes with a swim platform with telescoping ladder. Optional bow and cockpit sunshades provide added protection against midday rays.

Features include a large in-floor fishbox with overboard drain and 5-gallon bucket storage; gunnel-mounted rod holders; an optional outrigger-ready hardtop with additional rod holders; and a standard deluxe leaning post with a bait-prep area, dedicated tackle storage drawers, a pressurized 30-gallon livewell, optional second livewell and more.

Mercury 350 XXL Verado FourStroke engine is the standard power option for the 250 Outrage. The 25-foot boat is also available with a dual-engine option. Several Raymarine navigation packages are also available, including CHIRP DownVision Sonar.

“Through thoughtful design and purposeful innovation, we continue to build on the strong heritage of the Outrage line,” said Jeff Vaughn, Boston Whaler vice president of sales, marketing and customer service. “The new 250 Outrage delivers comfort and capability for the angler or pleasure boater who demands nothing less than the best.”

The Miami International Boat Show will run from Feb. 11-15, 2016. The new 280 Outrage will be available for viewing at Boston Whaler’s On-Land Display, Booth #A115. For more information on the Miami Boat Show and its new Virginia Key location, please visit miamiboatshow.com.
