Boot Düsseldorf to feature 1,700 exhibitors in 17 halls and 20 themed areas

DÜSSELDORF – With the motto “360-degree water sports,” boot Düsseldorf – 47th International Boat Show, will highlight all activities in, on or by the water in a worldwide unique format. 1,700 exhibitors and 20 themed worlds in 17 halls will offer water sports fans a wide range of products from January 23 – 31, 2016 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany

“boot Düsseldorf is an international trade fair which the entire industry and its fans look forward to in January every year”, explained Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel, Director of boot Düsseldorf. “We know that the exhibiting companies focus their trade fair budgets especially on boot Düsseldorf and always make sure they present their products as grand as possible here. At our event, visitors can inspect, examine and experience the new boat, diving equipment or wakeboard he or she is interested in. This helps to make the trade fair an outstanding success for the exhibitors, too, because many visitors make their buying decisions directly at boot Düsseldorf. We will welcome more than 1,700 exhibitors from 60 different countries in Düsseldorf and will once again have the market leaders in all sectors on board. The companies are very motivated, in some cases book larger space and will adopt a very user-oriented approach.”

boot Düsseldorf has the largest boat presentation in the world, with more than 1,700 boats and yachts on display. Nine of the 17 halls are devoted to this category alone and will have the entire range of water vehicles on show, from sailing yachts to motorboats and from canoes to rowing boats.

“The boatbuilding industry is exceptionally well represented, with a uniquely varied selection of 440 shipyard exhibitors. In addition to the latest high-tech developments with increasingly light and environmentally sophisticated materials, exclusive and high-quality classic boats play a significant role in our exhibition concept,” commented Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel. The market leaders in the sailing and motor yacht field are particularly well-represented at boot Düsseldorf 2016, with their entire product range in all sizes and classes.

Forty-seven percent, or 800, of the exhibitors are coming from countries outside Germany, accounting for almost 50 percent of the exhibit space. The largest foreign exhibitor participation will again be from the major water sports nations such as the Netherlands, Italy, France and Great Britain. All of the Eastern Caribbean states (Windward Islands) will participate for the first time, with such attractive destinations as Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Martinique, Monserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

In 2016, Egypt, the Azores, Belgium (Flanders), Curacao, Estonia, Finland, the Netherlands, Croatia, Turkey, Fuerteventura, the Philippines, Indonesia, Portugal, Sardinia and the Canary Islands are taking part in boot with country group exhibits.

boot Düsseldorf will feature all classes and sizes in the motor and motorboat segment – from the smallest 2.5 horsepower motors to the luxury segment represented by such yachts as the Princess. In addition, 250 shipyards, distributors and importers will present pleasure boats, day cruisers and cabin cruisers in all price categories in six halls. The leading international series manufacturers of motor yachts will be exhibiting in Hall 4, including the motorboat producers Bavaria from Germany, Bénéteau and Jeanneau from France, Cranchi from Italy and Nimbus from Sweden. Bénéteau and Jeanneau will also showcase their boats with outboard motors in Hall 9. Also in hall 9 will be the U.S. Brunswick Group exhibiting its Sea Ray, Bayliner and Quicksilver lines.
