Suntex acquires Liberty Landing Marina
Suntex Marina Investors LLC (Suntex), an owner and operator of marina properties, announced today its first acquisition – Liberty Landing Marina and Pier 25.
“This is a very exciting time for Suntex,” said Chris Petty, president of Suntex Marinas. “With the creation of Suntex Marina Investors, our leadership is unified with the common goal of providing boaters a uniquely positive experience with the highest level of customer service in the industry. Following our recent private financing, we are now able to acquire new properties and reinvest in them.”
The award-winning Liberty Landing Marina is strategically located in northern New Jersey, adjacent to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, and directly across from Manhattan in the heart of picturesque Liberty State Park. The landmark, 50-acre, full-service marina encompasses the building’s headquarters; a first-class amenity base consisting of two renowned restaurants – Liberty House and Maritime Parc; a ships store; propane, gasoline and diesel tank filling stations; 520 slips and 40 moorings capable of accommodating a wide range of vessels up to 200 feet in length. Liberty Landing is the only marina in the region that provides a “calm basin” for boat dockage on the Hudson River.
“The properties we purchase will receive upgrades to facilities and services to better serve our customers,” continued Petty. “Liberty Landing is already our premier facility and we want to make it world class. In this case, in addition to cosmetic and infrastructure renovations, we are in the process of evaluating the construction of an entirely new mega-yacht dock and travel-lift way.”
