Action Craft Boats expands production to second facility

Action Craft Boats will begin production at a second facility to meet growing demand, the company announced.

The company manufactures 12 models from 16 to 24 feet, including the new 24 and 21 ACE Coastal Bay Premium Elite.

In addition to the lamination work done by Action Craft Boats, Perry Composites of Perry, Fla., will maintain the molds on several models. The company will spray the gelcoat and complete the fiberglass work, using the same lightweight materials and advanced techniques the boatbuilder is known for. The completed hulls will then be shipped to the main location in Cape Coral, Fla., for final assembly, rigging and quality checks.

“We had been looking to expand our manufacturing space from our current 15,000 sq. ft. to around 25,000,” said Chad Kovarik, Action Craft Boats’ president. “When we saw the fine craftsmanship and finish work that Perry Composites is doing on the half-million dollar yachts it builds, we were really sold on their capabilities.”
