Same-store dealer sales strong in September

Same-store boat dealer sales increased in September, growing 5.6 percent year-over-year.

Sales were up in most categories, according to the latest report from CDK Global Recreation, which is based on data from users of the company’s Lightspeed software.

It was the eighth month in a row of improved sales, although significantly improved from August’s 0.5 percent increase.

After dropping in August, unit sales were up in September, increasing 6.2 percent from September 2014.

Service revenue was basically flat, up only 0.1 percent for the month. Parts revenue was down 2 percent, the third month in a row of year-over-year declines.
