IBEX attendance drops in return to Louisville

Attendance at this year’s IBEX was down by nearly a third as the show returned to Louisville after the 2014 show in Tampa.

Show organizers reported that 4,700 people attended this year’s show, a drop of 31.8 percent from the 6.900 reported in 2014.

That 4,700 was roughly equal to attendance at the 2013 and 2012 shows in Louisville. IBEX 2016 is scheduled for October 4-6 in Tampa.

The show also drew slightly fewer exhibitors, with 545 companies exhibiting this year compared with 558 in 2015. However, the 545 exhibitors was an 11 percent increase from the previous Louisville show in 2013, show organizers said.
