Cruzin and Rec Boat Holdings partner to grow boating

DANIA BEACH, Fla. — Cruzin and Rec Boat Holdings, LLC — part of Groupe Bénéteau — announced a strategic partnership. The companies will work together to grow boating participation and ownership.

In the strategic partnership, the companies will cross-promote with unified messaging through direct and digital marketing channels. They will also partner with other industry and recreation stakeholders to grow boating participation, especially targeting younger audiences — 60 percent of Cruzin.com visitors are under the age of 44.

“Cruzin.com is revitalizing boating by increasing access, improving the affordability of ownership and introducing young people to the sport,” said Roch Lambert, Rec Boat Holdings president. “We’re very excited by the opportunities that peer-to-peer boat-sharing has to offer our dealer networks and future generations of boaters.”

At the time of consumer sale, Cruzin will become a valuable resource to Rec Boat Holdings dealers to allay purchaser uncertainties on affordability. Listing a boat on Cruzin.com is a means for buyers to offset the cost of ownership.

Also, dealers can list both new and used boats on Cruzin.com to help build brand loyalty and gain exposure for their inventory. It generates additional income by allowing consumers to try a model prior to purchase.

“Rec Boat Holdings has an impeccable reputation within the industry and four solid brands that are well known by consumers,” noted Cruzin founder and CEO Jaclyn Baumgarten. “Together, we’re going to have a significant impact on making boating a safe, fun and affordable experience for everyone.”

Rec Boat Holdings, LLC is a group of the boat brands Four Winns, Glastron, Wellcraft and Scarab. Groupe Bénéteau acquired RBH in 2014.

Cruzin.com is a boat-sharing and charter marketplace. It boasts thousands of listings worldwide, for both captained and bareboat vessels. Each transaction features Experian background checks, insurance coverage and on-water towing and assistance.
