Ocean Safety Aberdeen and Richard Irvin Marine Safety merge

ABERDEEN, Alberta – Ocean Safety has today announced the merger with Richard Irvin Energy Solutions Marine Safety Division and their Aberdeen branch.

This merger follows the 3Si Group’s recent acquisition of both companies, which are set to combine premises in Aberdeen to operate from a single expanded facility.

The consolidation into the new 5,000 square foot space will facilitate the growth of the workforce, increasing sales efficiency and servicing capabilities in both the onshore and offshore maritime sector.

Bringing these two companies together will significantly benefit our existing customer base and increase our offshore offering,” comments Ocean Safety’s Aberdeen Manager Aidan Morrissey. “Richard Irvin’s experience combined with our expertise in the service and supply industry will strengthen our position, offering an extensive portfolio of products and hire capabilities.”

David Hale, marine service manager at Richard Irvin, welcomed Ocean Safety’s presence to the site, saying “Our focused marine safety division will gain from combining our expertise and product offer with those of Ocean Safety. The operation as a whole will expand, and a centralized servicing facility for our combined ranges of safety equipment will give greater accessibility to the customers of both companies.”

The amalgamation will be known as Ocean Safety Offshore and is conveniently located at Altens Industrial Estate, Aberdeen.
