Taylor Made Systems names new regional sales manager
Taylor Made Systems today announced the appointment of Al Unger as regional sales manager. In that role, Unger will represent Taylor Made Systems and its Ameritex Fabric Systems subsidiary across the lower-Midwest and Southwest regions of the United States.
Unger started in 2004 as an engineer, working on windshield design and application out of Taylor Made Systems’ Gloversville, N.Y., engineering and design headquarters.
“Al’s extensive knowledge of our windshield systems will suit him well in this new position of supporting our customers,” said Mike Oathout, vice president of sales and marketing, Taylor Made Systems. “His engineering background will be invaluable as he also supports Ameritex’s line of marine fabric products.”
Unger will be relocating to Missouri in the near future, where he will establish a regional sales office. His clientele will include the many boatbuilders located in Missouri, Kansas, western Tennessee, Arkansas, down to the Gulf Coast and west to California.
“Taylor Made and Ameritex are making the moves necessary to respond to our customers’ needs faster and more efficiently,” said Oathout. “We’re intentionally establishing this new regional sales office in proximity to some of the stalwarts of the marine industry. This decision shows our commitment to excellent customer support, responsive engineering and design services, quality products and support for those products.”
