Jeanneau/Prestige names new marketing & communications director

Jeanneau/Prestige Yachts America (the subsidiary of the French boat builder by the same name), announced Monday the appointment of Christopher J. Hughes as its new marketing & communications director.

Christopher brings to Jeanneau/Prestige Yachts a diverse and extensive business background ranging from Web based B-to-B and direct-to-consumer digital marketing to strategic planning, export development, and global business development. Christopher is considered a boating industry expert and has served in a number of executive leadership positions, most recently with BoatTEST.com, but has also tapped his entrepreneurial spirit, working as a consultant to many global brands over the last twenty-two years. His experience also includes advanced sales training across a variety of industries and markets including boating dealer networks.

“Christopher brings a wealth of leadership and creative experience to this role,” said Nicolas Harvey, President of Jeanneau – Prestige Yachts America, “and having this knowledge and leadership is a key addition to the growing North American team.”

Jeanneau has been in the US market for more than 30 years (with facilities in Marion, S.C.) and is widely known as a leading manufacturer of world class cruising sailing yachts up to 64 feet and racing sail boats across three models lines. Jeanneau recently entered the US powerboat market with the NC, Leader, and Velasco lines of express and cruising boats.

Prestige Yachts entered the US market five years ago with a range that includes express sport and flybridge motoryacht models from 42 to 75 feet.
