Rivergate wins Marina of the Year Award

BRISBANE, Australia — Rivergate Marina are proud to have won the 2015 Commercial Marina of The Year (up to 140 boats) award, as presented by the Marina Industries Association. The award recognizes outstanding marinas in Australia and internationally which have achieved success through exemplary business practices within the Marina Industry.

Marina’s considered for the award were judged across ten categories, including general overview, vision and goals, marketing activities, customer service and satisfaction, environmental responsibility, risk management, training and staff development, industry involvement, contributions to the community, and accomplishments.

Marina Industries Association President, Andrew Chapman, said the competition for the Awards was the strongest ever and a record number of entries had been received from Australia and other countries. “It is a sign of the growing strength of the marina industries that we are celebrating the excellent achievements of the winners and finalists at marine15.”

Winners were presented with a trophy and certificate at this year’s Marine15 conference. General Manager, Andrew Cannon, accepted the award crediting his team for the win; “We work hard to provide the highest level of customer service and pride ourselves on our reputation – this award reflects that hard work” he said.

Rivergate were also honoured as a finalist for the Best Marina Shipyard (20 plus boats) on the night.

“It’s a wonderful compliment to be recognised in both categories” Cannon stated. With 105 berths available, Rivergate are able to accommodate vessels of all types up to eighty metres in length. Each berth has access to fresh water, and shore power of up to 400 amps. Rivergate provide WiFi services across the marina and in its shipyard, 24-hour security including an after-hours patrol services and CCTV cameras throughout the site. On-shore, Rivergate has laundry and bathroom facilities available to all tenants.

Our marina office includes a friendly concierge and project management service as part of our reception, where we are able to assist with tenant enquiries, from faxing, photocopying, taxi services, car rental, accommodation, to full refit and repair services.
