STURTEVANT, Wis. – BRP’s award-winning Evinrude E-TEC G2 engines will now be rigged on Cobalt Boats’ Marker One Platform Series of deck and pontoon boats. This new relationship will provide Marker One owners the ability to experience unrivalled performance and the bold breakthrough design of Evinrude E-TEC G2 engines.
“We're proud to rig the Marker One Platform Series with the all-new Evinrude E-TEC G2 engine,” said Gavan Hunt, Cobalt Boats vice president of Sales and Marketing. “The power and efficiency of the Evinrude E-TEC G2 outboard delivers the torque and fuel economy our customers demand. The added bonus of BRP's customizable engine panels aligns perfectly with Marker One's Design Your Dream vision, as well. This isn’t your typical pontoon, and that's why we're rigging with an outboard that stands out on the transom.”
The Evinrude E-TEC G2 engine offers more than 400 color options that take the Design Your Dream vision one step further, giving consumers more choice and more design options.
“The pontoon boating segment is growing, and we’re committed to meeting this increased demand with unique products to perfectly match each application. Whether the Evinrude E-TEC Pontoon Series, specifically designed to enhance acceleration and throttle response, or the all-new Evinrude E-TEC G2 engine, with best-in-class torque for performance-minded consumers, we have what they want,” said Alain Villemure, vice-president and general manager of BRP’s Marine Propulsion Systems division. “This partnership with Cobalt Boats further reinforces our commitment to bring the power of choice to as many consumers as possible.”
The Cobalt Boats line-up includes runabouts and cruisers ranging from 20 to 36 feet, and now includes the new Marker One Platform Series that can be rigged with the Evinrude E-TEC G2 outboard. The Marker One Platform Series M25 and M27 premium pontoon boats share the same premium bloodlines found in all Cobalt products. Marker One prides itself on its Design Your Dream concept, which offers customers limitless possibilities when they build their Marker One Platform Series.
