Wholesale shipments of traditional powerboats were up 0.5 percent in 2014 for the National Marine Manufacturers Association's control group of manufacturers, the group reported Tuesday. Corresponding dollars were up 14 percent from a year earlier.
The categories with the best year-over-year growth were inboard boats (up 10.5 percent), personal watercraft (up 6.3 percent) and fiberglass outboard boats (up 4.6 percent).
NMMA's control group represents 71 percent of the market.
