American Boating Congress adds two representatives to speaker lineup

The American Boating Congress added two new speakers to its agenda for Wednesday session: Representatives Patrick E. Murphy (D-FL) and Candice Miller (R-MI), who are both co-chairs on the Congressional Boating Caucus.

Representative Murphy represents Florida’s 18th Congressional district, which includes northern Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties. He currently serves on the House Committee on Financial Services and the House Select Committee on Intelligence. Representative Murphy understands the importance of protecting the environment and the role it plays on the local economy in his native state of Florida.

Representative Miller represents Michigan’s 10th Congressional district and is currently serving her seventh term after first being elected to office in November 2002. She serves as Chairman of the Committee on House Administration and is currently serving as the only woman chair of a committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. Representative Miller has been a leader in protecting the Great Lakes and promoting Michigan industry.
