Digital Yacht’s AISnode launches at the Miami Boat Show

Digital Yacht introduced AISnode – an AIS receiver with an NMEA 2000 interface allowing AIS data to be shared across plotters, radars or other compatible devices on board. The device takes power directly from the NMEA 2000’s power supply by connecting to a VHF antenna or suitable VHF antenna splitter. Once connected, users will see an overlay of nearby targets with drill down data on the vessel’s identity, position, course and speed as well as closest point of approach.

The new AISnode uses Digital Yacht’s dual channel receiver technology to process all types of AIS targets like ATONs and AIS SARTs. Class A and Class B targets are also decoded with the relevant static and voyage data.

Modern plotter systems from manufacturers such as Garmin, Raymarine, Simrad and Furuno utilize NMEA 2000 data connections and the AISnode is compatible with these products.

The AISnode can be seen at the Miami Boat Show. For more information from Digital Yacht, please visit www.digitalyachtamerica.com.
