Supra Boats Pro Wakeboard Tour announces dates and locations

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Supra Boats Pro Wakeboard Tour will make four stops around the United States, including Texas, California, Wisconsin and Georgia, with two new venues and two solid repeat cities.

The 2015 Supra Boats Pro Wakeboard Tour will take place at the following locations:

  • The Colony, Texas — May 8-9, 2015, at (VENUE TENTATIVE)
  • Acworth, Georgia — June 6, 2015, at Dallas Landing/Lake Allatoona
  • Lathrop, California — July 11, 2015, at Mossdale Quarry Lakes
  • Janesville, Wisconsin — August 1, 2015, at Traxler Park

Stewart Creek Park on Lake Lewisville, one of the Dallas area’s largest and most popular wakeboarding lakes, is a brand-new PWT venue that offers fans the option to attend the event by boat or on land. Boaters can join the party flotilla along with hundreds of other wakeboats, runabouts, pontoons and party barges that line the competition course. “Thousands of on-water fans is a big inspiration and spurs the riders to go huge,” said Daniel Powers, one of the tour’s young guns.

Few tour cities roll out the red carpet to welcome the pros like return city Acworth, Georgia, just north of Atlanta. Dallas Landing on Lake Allatoona is another “land or sea” venue that keeps the party going, with over 250 boats drawn to this legendary competition course. After the contest, the party continues at downtown Acworth’s Pro Tour Street Party.

Mossdale Quarry Lakes in Lathrop, California, is a return venue that offers the most pristine water conditions on the tour at the best man-made custom lake in the Sacramento area. Keep a close watch on this event to produce one-of-a-kind runs, never-before-seen tricks, and the most aggressive riding all season.

The Supra Boats PWT Series Championships visits legendary Traxler Park on the Rock River in Janesville, Wisconsin. This first-time venue is the home site of the National Champion Rock Aqua Jays Show Ski Team. Record crowds are expected due to Traxler’s huge water-sports following, infrastructure including premium bleacher seating, and spectator access by boat.

“Supra Boats challenged us to create a fresh lineup of cities that strikes the perfect balance of great water conditions for the pros, venues with unprecedented fan accessibility, and hotbed markets for wakeboarding. This is our strongest lineup in years,” said Chris Bischoff, tournament director.

The combination of great venues, the largest pro men’s purse in the history of the Pro Wakeboard Tour, world-class riders and Supra’s SE 550 are expected to spur innovation and push the progression of riding.
