Chaparral, Robalo Boats receive Industry of the Year award from Berrien County chamber

NASHVILLE, Ga. — At the Berrien County Chamber of Commerce annual awards banquet Chaparral & Robalo Boats was awarded Industry of the Year. “As we are celebrating Chaparral’s 50th Anniversary this year we are honored to include winning the Industry of the Year award for our employees, dealers and suppliers as part of our celebration” said Chaparral President, Jim Lane.

“The Industry of the Year award recognizes local industries that have made a significant impact on our community either by expanding or improving their business, therefore improving the economy and quality of life for all in the community” said Crissy Staley, Executive Director of the Berrien County Chamber of Commerce.

“We have a great community with loyal, dedicated employees. We are proud to play our part in the growth and development of Berrien County” said Chaparral Founder, Buck Pegg. During the awards banquet Buck Pegg and Jim Lane were presented with the 2014 Industry of the Year Award and also received personalized Commendations previously awarded by Georgia Governor Nathan Deal in celebration of Chaparral’s 50th Anniversary.

Chaparral Boats is located in Nashville, GA and currently employs over 650 people. Chaparral is a generous corporate citizen supporting numerous charities and sporting events in Berrien County. Chaparral has awarded more than $350,000 in academic scholarships to the sons and daughters of their employees. The winner of this annual award is voted on by the entire Berrien County Chamber of Commerce Membership. Over 200 people attended the event.
