Brunswick names Grodzki VP of communications and public affairs

LAKE FOREST, Ill. Jan. 5, 2015 – Brunswick Corporation announced that Kevin S. Grodzki has been appointed vice president – communications and public affairs for the Company, reporting to Mark D. Schwabero, Brunswick president & chief operating officer.  In this new role, which is effective immediately, Grodzki will be responsible for directing activities related to internal and external communications, managing Brunswick’s organizational relationships within its industries as well as community and government relations.

“Kevin’s familiarity with Brunswick’s marine and fitness operations and the various issues and opportunities before Brunswick as well as his stature within the industry make him the clear choice for solidifying and advancing our interests with our Company’s various constituencies,” Schwabero explained.

Grodzki joined Brunswick in 2000 as president and chief executive officer of the Company’s Life Fitness division.  He moved to Mercury Marine in 2005, first serving as its president – Mercury sales, marketing & commercial operations.  Grodzki’s most recent responsibilities as president – global sales and marketing for Mercury Marine will be absorbed by the Mercury sales and marketing leadership team.

Before Brunswick, Grodzki served as vice president of Crompton Corporation’s $500 million Polymer Additives Company, and spent the first 22 years of his career with E.I. DuPont DeNemours and Co., Inc., Wilmington, Del.  He earned his bachelor’s of science degree in accounting from St. Francis University, Loretto, Pa., and MBA degree from the University of Delaware.
