CDK’s LightspeedEVO 6.1 brings new functionality to parts and service department
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – CDK Global Recreation, a division of CDK Global, Inc., announces the release of LightspeedEVO version 6.1 which gives users new features and functions to improve efficiency and profitability within multiple areas of the dealership. The new version enhances current features and introduces new functionality needed in the market. Version 6.1 allows dealers more face time with their customers while bringing more productivity to the dealership. This software update will be automatically downloaded to hosted LightspeedEVO users within the next couple of weeks.
“We are excited to announce the release of LightspeedEVO version 6.1” said Kris Denos, Senior Director of Research & Development for CDK Global Recreation. “New features such as VIN decoding, curtailment, and increased mobile app functionality will help dealers focus on increasing their productivity while better servicing their customers. Many improvements have been made to keep LightspeedEVO the industry’s most advanced dealer management software. We continually listen to feedback from our dealers and have added functionality to address their needs.”
One of the many new features inside LightspeedEVO 6.1 is VIN decoding, which allows dealers to type in a VIN and have the year, make, and model populate automatically. This feature speeds up data entry and eliminates data entry errors on units in the Parts, Service, and Sales modules. VIN decoding will speed up dealership processes and ensure correct data is being entered.
The LightspeedEVO mobile app for iOS and Android has been upgraded to allow for more dealer functions to be done away from the counter. Dealers can now perform a service check-in from anywhere including the parking lot, boat dock, or roadside. The app allows for customer lookup, service scheduling, photo uploads, and can even capture the customer’s signature directly on the screen.
Service in Progress is a new feature in 6.1 designed to give Service technicians better insight into jobs currently in the system. Service in Progress provides dealers an easy way to view the Service schedule by adding color coding, giving technicians a better view of job types, complexity, assigned technician, and length of time needed.
Curtailment is another major feature added to LightspeedEVO 6.1 that provides added benefits to Accounting. From LightspeedEVO, dealers can now enter curtailment fees on specific units as well as set terms for the payment. This will serve as a benefit to both the dealer and the manufacturer.
