The Boat Village launches regional collaborative in New England

HOBE SOUND, Fla. — The Boat Village, the marine industry’s leading technology for online boat management and service coordination platform, has launched its second major regional collaborative, helping marine companies in New England gain new business and increase customer loyalty.

The New England launch is geographically much larger than the company’s initial regional collaborative launched earlier this spring in South Florida. The New England collaborative includes more than a dozen marine industry organizations that are changing the way they interact and coordinate with customers.

Marine businesses use The Boat Village Professional edition to stay ahead of competitors, embracing leading-edge technology for online service coordination, simpler boat ownership and increased customer satisfaction. My-Villages, which created The Boat Village and owns the popular DockMaster marine management software, offers marine businesses participating in the launch major communication and outreach services to spread the word about their digital capabilities—at no additional cost. The result is a regional collaborative: a group of businesses working together to improve customer service, brand loyalty and financial performance by transacting business online in their communities.

In Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut, companies like Boothbay Regional Boatyard, Burr Bros. Boats, Front Street Shipyard, Journey’s End Marina, Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding, Maine Yacht Center, Newport Shipyard, North Atlantic Marine Services, Portland Yacht Services, Yankee Marina & Boatyard and Yarmouth Boat Yard have already come aboard.

“Our customers have asked us to do business online with them for years and now we can make that a reality,” said Eli Dana, General Manager at Newport Shipyard. “This will help us serve customer needs while their boat is stored, and coordinate their launch each season. It also helps us support them with information and service when they are out on the water. Signing up for the Professional edition of The Boat Village will allow us to do all of that—without a lot of complications.”

The New England launch follows a similar effort that My-Villages initiated earlier this spring in Southeast Florida, where companies continue to sign on. Major builders like Ferretti, Regal and The Hinckley Co. have also embraced The Boat Village.

“We all know the power of transacting business online, each of us do it every day,” said Kevin Hutchinson, founder and CEO of My-Villages. “We see it at our bank, our airline, our pharmacy and our favorite stores. Together, My-Villages and the marine industry are bringing that power to boaters. I am excited to announce this second regional rollout list of partners. The demand is high so we have more coming so stay tuned”.
