YachtWorld.com’s latest enhancements increase broker leads

Seattle, Wa. — December 2, 2013 — YachtWorld.com, the world’s largest internet yacht brokerage portal and part of Dominion Marine Media, has released a significant enhancement to the site, bringing a surge in lead submissions by online boat buyers. Since the release of the new boat details page, YachtWorld.com has sent almost 100,000 leads to its listing brokers.

The newest features in a series of lead-generating developments have increased leads sent to broker members by 6% overall, compared to the same period last year. On an average day, 8% more leads are being sent to brokers. The enhancement supports the leading online advertising portal’s “mobile first” strategy, to bring brokers closer to the growing number of consumers opting to shop from their mobile devices. According to eDigitalResearch, 64% of smartphone owners are now using their device to research and shop online.

Joe Lingerfelt, YachtWorld.com product manager, said, “YachtWorld.com’s mobile traffic has increased by 50% year-on-year, and we predict it will surpass our desktop traffic by 2015. This is a trend reflected across the industry, and it is our job to optimize our site to accommodate this audience and maximize lead generation for our customers.”

The mobile user experience has been improved with larger images and now allows prospective buyers to swipe through the photo gallery on their portable devices.
