Miami Boat Show attendance flat compared to last year (update)

The National Marine Manufacturers Association announced a correction in its reporting of the Miami International Boat Show final attendance numbers today, revising the final number to 102,118 – a 1-percent increase when compared to last year.

Originally, the NMMA reported 100,689 people attended the show, which was essentially flat when compared to the 100,917 people who attended  in 2012.


The Miami International Boat Show again attracted more than 100,000 people over President’s Day weekend; however, attendance was essentially flat when compared to the year prior, according to a release from the the National Marine Manufacturers Association.

Representing more than 80 countries, 100,689 people attended the five-day show, according to the release. In 2012, 100,917 people attended the show.

In the release, the NMMA said there was an upbeat buying crowd, leading to some exhibitors reporting double-digit sales. The show also hosted more boats in all three of its locations.

  1. Well that’s a BUZZ KILL!
    Another article discussing attendance, which we all knew from day 1 was flat. What we should be focusing on is how sales reports were overwhelmingly positive. It was a much better show than last year when you consider the most important statistic, SALES. Consumer confidence was also much higher. It was a completely different vibe than last year. A much better one.
