U.S. job growth picks up in July

The United States added 163,000 jobs in July, but the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 8.3 percent, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Unemployed persons remained at 12.8 million in July. That number along with the unemployment rate have changed little so far in 2012.
