Marine Marketers of America launches “2012 Summer of Learning Series”

Norfolk, Va. – Marine Marketers of America (MMA) today announced its second phase of new professional development webinar series slated for the summer of 2012. The series will focus on hot components of today’s marketing landscape – mobile marketing, social networking, personalized and embedded video and cross or integrated media. As part of its ongoing mission to provide professional educational development opportunities for the marine industry, webinars are provided free of charge.

The first webinar of the series, “Mobile Marketing: Enhancing Your Customer’s Digital Engagement,” will be hosted by Drew Jennings, senior vice president, Phizzle, and will be held on Tuesday, June 5 at 11 a.m. EDT. Jennings will focus on mobile marketing as a tool for surviving in the new world of integrated marketing. “With nearly 85 percent of the U.S. population owning a mobile phone, and nearly one-third owning smartphones, 2012 may be the year of mobile,” said Jennings. The second webinar of the series, “Four Social Media Strategies That Work,” will be hosted by Ruth P. Stevens and will be held on Tuesday, July 10 at 11 a.m. EDT. Stevens will focus on winning strategy to keep in touch with your social network. Stevens consults on customer acquisition and retention, teaches marketing at Columbia Business School and is a guest blogger at HBR.org and Biznology.

“Video, Video, and Video,” the third webinar of the 2012 series will be hosted by Dan Stevens of WorkerBee.TV and will be held Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 11 a.m. EDT. If you think YouTube is it, think again. Stevens will provide a unique perspective on video.
