EDGEWATER, Fla. — Boston Whaler recently donated 124 backpacks full of school supplies to three local elementary schools in Edgewater, Fla.
The company matched employee contributions one-to-one, resulting in a complete school supply list for 124 students. The “Boatload of Backpacks” was delivered to Edgewater Elementary School, Indian River Elementary School, and Burns Science and Technology Charter School in a 130 Super Sport.
“This is just a small effort on behalf of Boston Whaler to help prepare our local community’s young students for a successful future,” said Tim Schiek, President of Boston Whaler. The backpacks will be distributed by each school to a select number of students that may need additional support throughout the school year.
