Sperry Top-Sider gets prime NYC shop
NEW YORK, N.Y. — Sperry Top-Sider, maker of boat shoes, will open a 5,000-square-foot retail store on Fifth Avenue. This is the company’s first retail location in the city.
The location was formerly a Juicy Couture space, and rents for $275 per foot, according to the New York Observer. Half of the space will be on the ground floor; the other half is in the basement.
Within the past year, the company has opened retail locations in New York and Massachusetts, adding to its locations in Florida, Missouri and Texas.
