Lake Arlington dangerously low for boating
ARLINGTON, Texas — Lake Arlington’s water levels have prompted the closing of one dock, and the city has warned of potentially dangerous boating conditions. Another ramp is likely to close within the week.
The current lake level is at 541 feet above sea level; ramps will not be opened until the water level comes up to 543 feet. At the beginning of July, the lake was at about 547 feet. It started its decline in late May, when the lake was at 549 feet.
City officials say that the low water levels have exposed tree stumps and other hazards, according to a report on the local Fox affiliate.
