GREENWICH, Conn. — Greenwich Harbor Yacht Showcase will work with Greenwich Audubon to raise money to help clean Long Island Sound and increase public education on the waterway.
The show, which takes place Sept. 9-10, and the Audubon will be featured at a preview party on Sept. 9. Half of the $75 admission will go to the Audubon-programs. About 400 people are expected to attend, according to an article on Patch.com. General admission over the weekend is free.
Karen Dixon, Audubon Greenwich executive director, said will educate attendees and others in the area on how they can help Long Island Sound’s aquatic health. Money raised in the benefit will help the group expand education and preservation efforts.
The weekend’s events will take place at the Delamar Greenwich Harbor resort and will feature about 50 boats as well as other exhibits., including art and collector cars.
