LOUISVILLE, Ky. — High water will prevent Louisville’s Waterfront Park marina from renting slips during the Thunder Over Louisville event on Saturday, so its owner is offering refunds.
The Waterfront Development Corp. will issue $25,000 in refunds for its 25 slips, even though the rental agreement states “no refunds.”
David Karem, president of the agency that oversees the park, told a reporter for the Courier Journal that this is a public relations move. The money would have been otherwise used to dredge the harbor and for other park maintenance.
