ABBRA schedules next training for May
WARREN, R.I. — The American Boat Builders & Repairers Association will be offering its Marine Equipment Operator Training this May, according to a release from the group. Registration is currently open for the training, which will be held at Dredge Harbor Boat Center in Delran, N.J., on May 3. The Marine Equipment Operator Training will offer a Marine Straddlelift in the morning and a Marine Forklift Training in the afternoon.
ABBRA’s training addresses classroom topics such as OSHA requirements, operator responsibilities, accident prevention, equipment inspection, boat-lifting and blocking standards, job-site safety, lift planning, supervisor awareness and rigging considerations. Longtime ABBRA instructor Paul Doppke will be presenting the Straddlelift and Forklift sessions.
The fee for the MEOT in Marine Straddlelift or Forklift is $150 per person. Registrants who opt to take both courses will pay a reduced fee of $275. All fees include course instruction, related course handouts, and a certificate of completion following successful completion of a written final exam.
