Peters & May debuts online booking system
SOUTHAMPTON, United Kingdom — Global marine transportation provider Peters & May has launched a Web-based boat shipping booking system, the company reported this week.
The PM Booking System is Web-based software written for Peters & May that allows clients to view and modify their bookings online. The software allows users to check vessel schedules, arrange and amend insurance details and to request a surveyor’s presence or boat-covers, among other services. The system also allows users to download documents such as bills of lading, insurance certificates, surveyors reports and photos.
“The PM Booking System is another great service offered to clients of Peters & May as our aim is to make yacht shipping simpler for the end user,” said David Holley, CEO of Peters & May. “The PM Booking System is significantly more suitable to our industry clients rather that more traditional systems such as Cargowise. This is because it has been designed in-house by Peters & May specifically for the transport of all types of yachts and boats, allowing online interface and amendments that other off-the-shelf systems cannot.”
