Shakespeare grows in Europe with new distributors
COLUMBIA, S.C. — Shakespeare Electronic Products Group has recently signed a number of new European distributors to both maintain and grow their presence on the continent. The distributors will cover areas including Spain, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Serbia and others.
The most recent addition is State Marine Nautica in Spain. Shakespeare’s previous distributor for Spain, Seyre, is retiring.
State Marine Nautica is based in Barcelona and serves the commercial, leisure and fishing markets. The company specializes in communication systems and has been in business for 14 years.
Meridian Projekt was also recently tapped to handle distribution in Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Serbia. The company has built a dealer network throughout the region, specializes in marine electronics distribution, provides customers with virtual product catalogs and employs six people.
Last month, Shakespeare appointed Belamarin Maritim Electronikk as its distributor in Norway and Sweden. Founded in 1996, Belamarin also specializes in marine electronics.
This is in addition to distributors added at the end of 2010, when Shakespeare welcomed Fellecs-Tech and ASA Boot Electro to its family of distributors. Fellecs-Tech covers Germany and Austria, while ASA Boot Electro the Netherlands.
Fellecs-Tech supports German, Austrian, and German-speaking Swiss marine leisure and commercial markets.
ASA Boot Electro specializes in high-quality wholesale distribution of electrical and electronic equipment for pleasurecraft, superyachts and commercial vessels.
Shakespeare is headquartered in Columbia, S.C. Its European operations are located in Fleetwood, Lancashire, England.
