Boating Industry Intelligence You Can Profit From
MIAMI — Australian luxury boat builder Maritimo recently announced a record sales result at the Miami International Boat Show.
“With this result, we are looking at a great year,” Maritimo USA President Dave Northrop said in a release.
Northrop said the company registered sales from every geographic region of the U.S. as well as the Caribbean and South America. Northrop said the company had approached the show “with cautious optimism."
“While the weather was on our side, the strongest factors were the preparation and performance of our dealers," Northrop said. "The addition of HMY and Galati Yacht Sales to our team played an important role."
He said the Maritimo stand had seen a 30 percent increase in registered visitor numbers over the previous year.
“We are particularly excited that the number of visitors from northern USA was greatly improved this year,” he said.
