Marine Trades Association of New Jersey plans conference

MANASQUAN, N.J. — “The Changing Tide of Business” is the theme for this year’s Marine Trades Association of New Jersey (MTA/NJ) conference.

The bi-annual conference will take place on Thursday, March 10, 2011, at the Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood, N.J. It is geared toward for marine business owners, operators, employees and anyone involved in recreational boating in New Jersey.

Some of the conference topics include: A State of Industry Panel Presentation with leaders from three national associations representing different aspects of the boating industry sharing their thought; a Technology Today Segment covering Social Media Marketing and Email Marketing; and legal presentations covering Strategies for Protecting Your Business and Assets and Opportunities for Real Estate Development and Alternative Energy Projects for Marina and Waterfront Properties.

The MTA/NJ has also arranged a number of “help desks” to be open during the conference. Representatives from state agencies, including the DOT, DEP, and industry programs will be available to assist attendees and answer any questions they may have about their permits, applications, grant funding and marine industry programs.

Registration is still open and the cost to attend is $140 for MTA/NJ members and $195 for nonmembers. Exhibit space is also still available.
