Take Me Fishing promotes ‘conservation through participation’

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Recreational Boating Fishing Foundation’s (RBFF) Take Me Fishing campaign has created a new public awareness campaign to remind anglers that a percentage of fishing license funds, and some other boating-related purchases, go toward conservation efforts.

The group has created and distributed a public service announcement in radio, television and print formats.

“We know that our nation’s waterways are treasures that need to be preserved,” said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. “That’s why we’ve chosen to embark on a new campaign to promote our ‘conservation through participation’ message. Our goal is simple – get more people out on the water boating or fishing and, in turn, help raise much needed funds to sustain local and national conservation efforts.”
