Suzuki adds marine products to online store
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif — The American Suzuki Motor Corporation has added marine accessories to its online store, available at SuzukiMarine.com, expanding its online program beyond the motorcycle and ATV categories.
Using Shopatron’s retail-integrated eCommerce system, Suzuki will assign online orders of marine accessories to local, authorized dealers. Consumers can choose to have those orders shipped directly from dealers or made available via in-store pickup.
Suzuki will offer its full line of marine accessories via its online store, including Suzuki instruments, control boxes, cables and rigging, care and maintenance accessories, and various marine accessories.
“At Suzuki we do not sell directly to the consumer, we rely on our dealer network to sell and promote our products in their dealerships,” said Gary Sherfey, manager of the accessory sales and marketing group. “With the use of Shopatron we are able to help support our dealers by capturing and driving customers and sales into their dealerships. Our goal with Shopatron is to connect our online customers with our authorized Suzuki dealers and promote our Genuine Suzuki Accessories.”
Suzuki’s retail-integrated online store allows shoppers to purchase and receive orders much faster than traditional online sales while allowing local, trained dealers to answer questions and provide advice when a customer arrives to pick up an order. If necessary, experts will also be on hand to assist with the installation of certain products.
