Take Me Fishing goes mobile

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Recreational Boating Fishing Foundation (RBFF) will officially unveil the Take Me Fishing campaign’s new, fully integrated mobile website at the Miami International Boat Show and at the Bassmaster Classic Outdoors Expo (Feb. 18–20 in New Orleans, La.).

The new site, which can be viewed at www.takemefishing.org/mobile from smartphones, provides boaters and anglers with on-the-go access to the TakeMeFishing.org Hotspots Map and allows them to save their own mobile hotspots. Users can also find information on a variety of different fish species, boating and fishing tips and tricks, and state licensing and registration requirements.

An award-winning website, TakeMeFishing has drawn more than 7.9 million unique visitors since it was re-launched in 2008. The mobile version of the website was developed to further support the Take Me Fishing campaign’s mission to be the premier online destination for boaters and anglers to learn, plan and equip for a day on the water.

“With more and more people using smartphones and downloading information on-the-go these days, we knew we had to invest even more into our digital offerings, said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. “We’re proud to be able to provide instant access to the best boating and fishing ‘where to’ and ‘how to’ information right in the palms of our visitors’ hands.”
