Yamaha announces demo rides tour
KENNESAW, Ga. — Yamaha Marine Group announced the 2011 schedule for the Discover VMAX SHO Demo Tour, a national program consisting of high-performance demo rides designed to show the benefits of Yamaha’s outboard motor VMAX SHO, according to a recent release from Yamaha.
The 2011 Discover VMAX SHO Demo Tour debuts Feb. 18 during the Bassmaster Classic in New Orleans. All bass fishing fans are invited to ride in Skeeter bass boats equipped with Yamaha VF250LA VMAX SHO outboards.
“The VMAX SHO Demo Tour allows consumers to see and feel just how game changing these outboards really are,” said Dale Barnes, Yamaha Marine Group marketing division manager, in the release. “The holeshot and midrange punch are unequalled. We can say that, you’ve heard it, but it needs to be experienced, and that’s what this tour is all about.”
The VMAX SHO is 34 pounds lighter than its predecessor, the VMAX Series 2, and burns about 12 percent less fuel on average.
