Former Prince William employee starts social media firm
SPRINGFIELD, Va. — Josh Chiles, a former salesperson at Boating Industry‘s No. 1 dealer Prince William Marine, recently launched Engaged, a social media management, marketing and consulting firm.
Chiles began using social media as a sales tool while working at Prince William. He says his efforts began to attract the attention of other local business owners, who started asking him social media questions. After enough of these businesses approached him, Chiles decided that he had an opportunity in the exploding field of social media, and he started the consulting firm.
Although he works with a variety of businesses, Chiles says his passion is with the marine industry, and he hopes to improve the level of engagement between marine businesses and their customers.
Too many businesses in the industry he says “Just don’t get it” when it comes to social media.
Engaged will tailor a social media strategy to an individual company’s needs, Chile says. The company is available to help consult on the creation of a social media plan or create and post social media content, depending on a company’s size and budget.
Chiles has also agreed to blog for Boating Industry at insider.boatingindustry.com. His first post, The Fundamentals of Social Media, is online now.
The company is located online at startengaging.com.
